Governance & Transparency
Our Special Angels SEND CIC is a not-for-profit organisation committed to making specialist SEND holiday care more affordable for families. We work in partnership with Our Special Angels Ltd, which manages our experienced staff and day-to-day service delivery.
We first began operating in 2022 as a Limited company, created to deliver high-quality care and holiday clubs for children with SEND. However, we quickly realised that the cost of delivering this level of specialist support — with high staff ratios, personal care teams, and tailored activities — created a barrier for many families. To ensure that our services could be accessible to all, we established the CIC as a way to apply for funding and subsidise costs for parents who would otherwise be unable to afford the care their child needs.
While the CIC and Ltd company collaborate closely, they are legally and financially separate. The CIC is responsible for applying for grant funding and ensuring that every penny is used to directly support children and families — not for private profit. All services delivered by the Ltd company on behalf of the CIC are governed by a formal agreement and are overseen by our independent board.
