About Us
At Our Special Angels, we understand the challenges that parents of children with SEND face because we’ve been there ourselves. We are a community of parents and caregivers who have lived through the struggle of finding suitable provision for our own children. We know the isolation that comes with navigating a world that’s often unprepared to support our families, especially during the school holidays. That’s why we founded Our Special Angels – to ensure that children with SEND have access to high-quality, supportive childcare when they need it most.
How it all started
Our Special Angels was born out of necessity. As parents, we saw firsthand the lack of services and support for children with special needs. It became increasingly difficult to find suitable holiday clubs, after-school care, or even respite for ourselves as caregivers. We knew something had to change.
VISION AND PURPOSE
We have a simple but powerful vision: to ensure that children with SEND and their families have access to the care and support they need. Our goals are to:
- Provide children with SEND a safe, happy, caring, secure, and stimulating environment where they can flourish.
- Combat the social isolation that children with SEND and their families often experience, particularly during the school holidays.
- Offer a place to learn, develop, and grow in a fun and supportive environment.
- Provide respite for parents and guardians, giving them time to recharge and care for their own well-being.
